week 18

It was very hard to talk about this week because it’s the last week that we have to submit our works for all subjects. Moreover, in the first class some students had done their presentations and ready to presents such as Abdulla Aljabri and others so his formal presentation was about water pollution it was a good presentation but he missed to put the bibliography. After that Paul gave Abdulla his comments for the presentation. During the second period I present my topic which was about global warming also a few students’ presents their presentation after that Paul asked us to send our presentation and finish all works and hand it on Thursday. I think it was a helpfull cours.

week 17

In the first period , Paul gave us a rubric to mark our presentations. Then, Mohamed Alhashmi presents his topic which was about E-waste it was very interesting topic because it was a new topic to talk about. After that Paul add some comment to Mohamed presentation and it was a good comments. Then, Salah Albloushi stood up and present his presentation which was about water consumption so Paul found a lot of mistake in his presentation such as the space, more than 5 wards and others but the most important thing that salah had was his language he was a good speaker in the presentation so that helped him to got a good mark. During the second period, a few students who attended the class because some of them were done the presentation so they don’t need to come and some keep working on it to present in the Next class.

week 16

We did not attend the first period because we had an English progress test. For the second period, Paul gave us some suggestions about the formal presentations, some students their presentation were ready such as saif he present his topic which was about global warming as a practice because he want to know what Paul would say about it. Paul adds his comments to his presentation which he need to think about it to get a good presentation. At the end he told us that want from all of as to start presenting in the next week.

week 15

In the first two period Mohamed Almarzouqi present his presentation which was about artificial intelligence , it was a good presentation but I think it was not good for Paul and our students in the class because of his voice it was very low after him Waled Albloushi present his topic and it was about projector, there were many mistake in his PowerPoint so that Paul spent more time told him how to make it clearly. During the second period, Hamed Albloushi present his presentation which was about smart board and it was a very interesting topic but when Paul asked him how the smart board work he did not answer the question because he did not spent enough time searching about how it works as same as I don’t. At the end of the class Paul asked us to prepare our final presentations which should be about environmental issue.

week 14

In the first two period I was absent because I had appointment in ALNOOR hospital so I asked some students about it and what I had left in this period they told me some students present their presentation such as salem . During the second period, Mohamed AL Hashmi present his topic which was about Nanotechnology, Mohamed was very interesting with his presentation because he started with good introduction and used best way to make observers more attention also Paul interested whit his presentation because he used a lot of pictures ,charts and tables. After that, was my turned to present. So, my presentation was about atomic clock. When I done my presentation there was a few mistake that Paul founded and spent more time commenting on it .

week 13

In this week , Safi present his presentation about Microprocessor and it was very interesting presentation I mean from the topic not the presentation because it was some mistake that Paul told him to avoided. After his presentation no enough time because Paul took it to add some comments to presentation so no one of our class present the presentation. In the second period, Othman and Mohamed saleh presents their presentations after they presented it in first time so we enjoyed with their presentations because Othman was very funny when he presented.

week 12

In week 12, some student presents their presentation for the second time after they changed their mistake and add more pictures as Paul said and that was better for those students because when they presents the presentation again Paul face them and he said know the presentation is better than before. No class was in the second period because it was a math conference in women collage so some sections should attend this conference such as our section and others. We spoke with Paul about it so he agrees but he told us to work in our presentations

week 11

No classes were in week 10 because it was in depended week. In week 11, Paul asked us about our technology presentations in the first two periods and who will present his topic. Few students such as Mohamed saleh and Othman their presentations were ready to present but the other student s were busy to prepare their presentations and made it more clearly. In the second period, Othman present his presentation which was about Bluetooth so when he done his presentation Paul spent all the time left asked him about his presentation .Paul add some comments to Othman for his presentation so Othman accept the comments from Paul after that he fixed his mistakes.

week 9

In this week Paul was talking about dream vacation and he explained some places that we can visit in holidays such as wildlife safari, Beach resort vacation ,historic sightseeing four, outdoor adventure, rain forest ecotour and luxury cruise. Then, He asked each students about his vacation and where he would travel in future and that what we done in the first two periods. In next two periods he took a few minute to discuss what we have taken after that asked us to do a presentation about your classmate vacation. Some students did their presentation then Paul give them some comments about their presentation which students can make s good presentation

week 7 & 8

In the first two classes in this week, Paul told us the most important things of how to avoid most common mistakes. He Showed us some videos done by some groups and it was about communication mothers. He told us about some mistakes that they have done in their meeting.In the second period, we have done our meeting in the class and it was about how to support a long distant students socially in ADMC. Mohammed was the chairman, Omar the note taker, Abdulla distributed the surveys and he told us about them and I was the note taker. we did our meeting in almost 21 minutes. It was very good and well organized as Paul said.
We had an English progress test on Monday, so we did not have a class because there were in the same time of the test. On Wednesday, almarsoqi group did their meeting and Paul gave them some opinions about it. At the end of the class he started talking about the minutes and how to do it. He also mentioned the report that we have to submit after the minutes done.

week 6

In this week Paul talked about the meating that we should do. this is the first assignment in this course and it is counted as 15 % from the overall score. Paul explained hoe to condiuct a good meating. he played a meating video for some students who have done this meating and it was more useful for us. we took some notes that could help us to prepare a good meating.At the end of this class we decided to form 3 groups from 12 students. our group members are Mohamed Alhashmi.Salem Ali,Abdullah Aljabri and me.There were some topics that we should talk about.Our group chose the topic which was (how to support a long distant student socially) and all of members group were agree with thes topic.

week 5

Paul talked about organizing a presentation about motto. He told us how to avoid some common mistakes in the presentation. The presentation should be in 3 minutes. Some students presented their mottos in the class. They talked about what is the meaning of their mottos, what is the personal value, some past experiences and how their mottos help them in their life. Paul gave some comments on their presentations. I didn’t give my presentation in this week because there was no enough time.

week 4

In week 4, the main topic was about moto and personal values .the first two periods on Monday was about understanding the personal values and the meaning. Also he was asked students to share about their personal values and why these values were important for them. The next two periods Mr.Paul speaks about clarification of the Moto’s and how to prepare and practice for giving a great presentation. In addition, he played record for someone did a presentation about his Moto’s to get ready for giving an presentation about our previous situation and do presentation next class.

week 3

During the week 3 we had only two periods of English Combustion . Mr. Puaul has taught as about how the preparation of a presentation in general. In addition to that he has explained to as how to create a blogger account. Finally, he gave us bit information about the upcoming class which it was about the Moto.

week 1 & 2

This is a summary about first two weeks of academic communication .Paul spook with us about this course and how it will be. after that he introduced his self to the students. Then he told us to present ourselves. Such as where we live, our names and what we think about this course. When we have finished he told us about the grades and how it will be divided and this was what we did in the first week .In the second week he gave us a viewpoint book. then, he told us to choose any one of the students and meet him and make a presentation about him so that what all we have done in the first two weeks.
